November 21, 2018 - Notice to participants

In 2018, Rénoclimat experienced a striking increase in its participation rate in all regions of Québec. This unforeseeable increase in the program’s popularity means that all appointment time slots before and after work is carried out are full throughout Québec until December 31, 2018.

Transition énergétique Québec nonetheless wishes to point out that financial assistance is available for work eligible under the program. It is still possible to register since requests for appointments will continue to be accepted and they will be processed in order of receipt. New appointments will be offered starting in January 2019.

Have you already registered in the program and are you awaiting a pre-work energy evaluation?

Given that work carried out before the first Rénoclimat visit is ineligible under the program, Transition énergétique Québec asks that, if possible, you postpone starting the work until appointment time slots become available in January 2019.

If you cannot delay the work, you could benefit from the following financial assistance programs:

  • the RénoVert tax credit (for more information, please visit the Revenu Québec website;
  • the Chauffez vert program, which offers financial assistance to replace oil-fired or propane heating systems with a system that relies on renewable energy.

Are you awaiting a post-work energy evaluation?

Despite the unusual waiting period, be assured that you will receive the financial assistance to which you are entitled. The organization mandated by Transition énergétique Québec will contact you as soon as possible to set a date for the post-work energy evaluation of your dwelling.

Important: please keep all proof of the work carried out (invoices, photos, and so on) since the Rénoclimat advisor could request them at the time of his visit.
