About Rendez-Vous Branchés 2016

The Rendez-Vous Branchés, organized by Équiterre, are back this autumn. They are funded by the Gouvernement du Québec and other partners.

The purpose of the Rendez-vous branchés is to make citizens aware of the advantages of electric vehicles and to clarify a number of persisting myths. People taking part in the event will have the opportunity to discuss with many owners of electric vehicles, who will be pleased to respond to their questions and provide guided test-drives at no charge. Specialized exhibitors on hand will provide attendees with an opportunity to clearly understand the availability of public charging stations in the province, to get information from charging-station suppliers, and to discuss with dealers. Representatives of the Ministère will be on hand to answer questions about the Gouvernement du Québec's Roulez électrique and Branché au travail financial-aid programs. Conferences will also be given in some cities.

The first two editions of Rendez-Vous Branchés in 2014 and 2015 attracted more than 2500 participants, while more than 2000 test-drives were conducted with the cooperation of volunteer EV owners. Participants had very good opinions of electric vehicles. In 2015, 76% of the participants surveyed indicated that they would like their next car purchase to be an electric vehicle. That represents a 10% increase with respect to the 2014 event.
