Industrial Systems Program

The Industrial Systems Program covers a wide range of measures to make industrial facilities, processes and electromechanical systems more energy-efficient or to reduce their specific electricity consumption. The Program’s four components cover a plant’s entire industrial energy efficiency cycle, from planning through improvements to support.
Industrial Hydro-Québec

Condensing Unit Heater

Gazifère offers financial support for the purchase of a condensing unit heater with an efficiency rating of 90% or higher. The financial assistance offered by Gazifère is $800, reducing the cost differential between a condensing unit heater and basic equipment.

Drive Green - Drive Electric Program

The Québec government is offering individuals, businesses, organization and Québec municipalities a rebate of up to $8 000 on the purchase or lease of a new electric vehicle. Please consult the detailed list of eligible new vehicles to determine the exact amount of the rebate now in force for the vehicle model that interest you. Under this program, anyone who has purchased or leased a new or used electric vehicle can also apply for financial assistance for the purchase and installation of a 240 volt charging station at home.

Feasibility Study – Building

Before undertaking work to improve the energy efficiency of a building, Gazifère recommends that you carry out a feasibility study to define the measures that will achieve genuine improvement.  As an incentive, Gazifère offers financial assistance of $2,000 to cover a portion of the cost of having a feasibility study carried out.

Infrared heaters

The purpose of this program is to save on the consumption of natural gas. It is aimed at commercial and institutional clients who are looking to use the infrared heaters. Infrared heaters make it possible to direct heat to specific locations without heating ambient air. The technology is used mainly in high-ceilinged buildings, like warehouses, garages, arenas and churches.

Programme de biomasse forestière résiduelle (in French only)

Le Programme a pour but de réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre et la consommation des combustibles fossiles par le financement de projets de conversion énergétique à la biomasse forestière résiduelle. Le programme entend soutenir la filière naissante de la valorisation énergétique de la biomasse forestière résiduelle en encourageant le développement d’infrastructures et de réseaux de distribution au Québec.

Support for initiatives

The purpose of this program is to stimulate savings in natural gas use among commercial and institutional clients who embark on retrofits aimed at energy optimization in existing buildings or who construct a new building. All Gazifère commercial and institutional clients are eligible. Gazifère analyzes the feasibility study carried out by a professional architect or engineer demonstrating the energy savings that result for each measure taken.

Combo system

This program offers financial assistance to encourage the purchase and installation of a combo system, which meets heating and hot water needs with a single appliance. The system is composed of a condensing tankless water heater, combined with a fan coil unit that heats the air. In addition to being very efficient, such a system saves on space. Eligible water heaters must have an energy rating of at least 90% in addition to being ENERGY STAR® qualified. The program is intended for existing buildings as well as new constructions, and may be of interest to both current and new Gaz Métro residential customers.

Éconologis

Éconologis is an energy efficiency program for low-income households. It allows households to take advantage of free individualized advice and even to have electronic thermostats installed free of charge. This program is offered from September to March only.

The Program uses integrated approaches to implement energy-saving measures of all kinds in social and community sectors with low-income households.
