ENERGY STAR® condensing boiler

This program offers a grant for the purchase and installation of an ENERGY STAR® compliant condensing boiler with an efficiency rating of at least 90%. With a more efficient exchanger than a standard boiler, its performance is better and saves you money on your heating bill. The program is intended for existing buildings as well as new constructions, and may be of interest to both current and new Énergir residential customers.

ENERGY STAR® tankless water heater

This program offers financial assistance for the purchase and installation of an ENERGY STAR® qualified tankless water heater. The lack of a storage tank reduces the heater’s thermal losses and uses less energy to keep the water at the right temperature. Plus, condensing tankless water heaters recover part of the energy they release. These models can have energy efficiency ratings of up to 98%, compared with standard water heaters, which are rated at 63%. Compact and efficient, this type of heater is the ideal solution for small and mid-sized homes including condos, apartments and row houses. The program is intended for existing buildings as well as new constructions, and may be of interest to both current and new Gaz Métro residential customers.

Heating with Green Power

Financial assistance is available for the replacement of fossil-fueled systems with systems that use electricity or other renewable sources of energy. Eligible systems include central heating systems and water heaters that use oil or any other fossil fuel with the exception of natural gas. The system must be the home’s principal heating source before the beginning of replacement work.
