New efficient construction

This program offers a grant to encourage the construction of an energy-efficient building that consumes less energy than standard reference buildings. This will result in reduced operating costs and increased resale value. The proposed projects can involve building a new construction, expanding an existing building or carrying out a major renovation project. The program also covers part of the cost of the energy simulation for the new building. It is intended for current Gaz Métro customers or soon to be customers.

Novoclimat 2.0

The Novoclimat 2.0 new home program is offered to people who want to buy an energy efficient home. In addition to improving a building’s energy performance by a minimum of 20%, the Novoclimat program encourages the residential construction industry to continually improve its building techniques. The Novoclimat 2.0 program applies to houses, duplexes, triplexes and quadruplexes as well as multiple-unit buildings of three or fewer storeys and 600 m2 and less.
