Are your heating bills too high? Are your floors cold? Are you fed up of draughts? Rénoclimat can help you with your home renovations and reduce your energy bills. The Rénoclimat program includes a tour of your home by a Rénoclimat energy efficiency advisor; an energy evaluation of your home (before and after renovations)…

What's new?

November 21, 2018 - Notice to participants

March 31, 2018 - The Rénoclimat program has officially been extended to March 31, 2021.

Some of the program’s conditions have also been amended, and the changes came into force on March 31, 2018. The pages on this website have been updated to reflect these changes.

  • If you have not yet registered for the program, you should request your initial evaluation now. You will have plenty of time to carry out your eco-energy renovation work.
  • If you have already registered for the program (before March 31, 2018), rest assured that you will not be penalized by the recent amendments. If necessary, we will compare the former and new program conditions and will calculate the amount of financial assistance that is most advantageous to you.

About the Rénoclimat program

Rénoclimat is a government program that was introduced in 2007 to encourage owners to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Transition énergétique Québec (TEQ) has been responsible for this program since April 1, 2017. The program will be available until March 31, 2021.

The financial assistance provided under the Rénoclimat program, combined with the recurrent energy savings, will maximize your return on your energy efficient renovations within a few years.

On average, the Rénoclimat program helps participants to save 20% on their heating bills after their renovations have been completed.

Rénoclimat is the only energy efficiency program for individuals that features an energy performance measure of their homes, conducted both before and after the work, based on the EnerGuide rating system.
